Position Purpose:
The School Leadership Specialist provides leadership, training, coaching, and technical assistance to Region 15 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in implementing research-based practices that accelerate student growth and achievement. The position supports school and district leaders in strengthening instructional leadership, educator effectiveness, continuous improvement, accountability, and positive school climates.

Position Purpose:
The School Leadership Specialist provides leadership, training, coaching, and technical assistance to Region 15 Local Education Agencies (LEAs) in implementing research-based practices that accelerate student growth and achievement. The position supports school and district leaders in strengthening instructional leadership, educator effectiveness, continuous improvement, accountability, and positive school climates.
Major Duties/Responsibilities:
- Provide training, coaching, and technical assistance to LEAs related to school leadership, instructional leadership, continuous improvement, and educator effectiveness.
- Provide guidance and technical assistance to districts in the development, refinement, implementation, and continuous improvement of local TIA designation systems, including support for application development, system design, data collection, validation, and submission requirements.
- Design and facilitate professional learning aligned with Texas Education Agency (TEA) initiatives, including the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA), Texas Instructional Leadership (TIL), and educator appraisal.
- Support districts with the development, implementation, refinement, and data submission requirements of local TIA systems.
- Assist district and campus leaders in analyzing performance data, identifying areas for growth, and developing and monitoring improvement strategies.
- Provide guidance related to state and federal accountability requirements and initiatives.
- Promote high standards of excellence and a culture of continuous improvement across schools and districts.
- Share current research, innovative practices, and state and federal updates with LEAs.
- Collaborate with Region 15 staff, other Education Service Centers, TEA, and partner agencies on leadership and school improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Administrative Services and Federal Programs and/or Executive Director.
- Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as a campus administrator.
- Strong knowledge of instructional leadership, school improvement, accountability, and educator effectiveness.
- Experience with TIA, TIL, educator appraisal, or other TEA initiatives preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and use findings to support continuous improvement.
- Strong communication, presentation, collaboration, coaching, and facilitation skills.
- Ability to build effective relationships with district and campus leaders and manage multiple priorities effectively.
