Position Purpose: This position reports to the Finance Services Coordinator and Finance Services Lead, and is responsible for performing data entry tasks related to accounting, personnel, and payroll information.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Three (3) years data entry experience (preferred)
Three (3) years general bookkeeping/accounting experience (preferred)

Position Purpose: This position reports to the Finance Services Coordinator and Finance Services Lead, and is responsible for performing data entry tasks related to accounting, personnel, and payroll information.
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll support across various financial operations.
- Accurately key alphabetic, numeric, and symbolic data from source documents and verify outputs for accuracy.
- Review source documents to identify discrepancies and return them to the originator for correction.
- Utilize software applications to develop spreadsheets, conduct data analysis, and perform word processing tasks.
- Complete assignments efficiently and independently, without the need for continuous supervision.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn key departmental responsibilities, including bank reconciliations, budgeting, general ledger review, payroll processing, state and federal reporting, and audit preparation.
- Serve as backup support for payroll and general finance operations.
- Actively participate in TASBO certification courses and workshops to earn the Certified Texas School Business Specialist (CTSBS – Level I) designation.

- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Services Lead and Finance Services Director.
- Solid understanding of fundamental accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in using computerized accounting software for accurate financial processing
- Skilled in Windows-based applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), internet navigation, and email communication
- Strong keyboarding abilities, including 10-key numerical data entry with speed and precision
- Capable of working efficiently with numbers while maintaining a high level of accuracy to meet strict deadlines
- Demonstrates integrity, sound judgment, responsiveness, and exceptional attention to detail
- Self-motivated and eager to learn departmental functions and contribute to team success
- Able to handle sensitive and confidential records and files with discretion and professionalism

Associate's Degree
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
